Wallarah Sales and Information Centre

This project involved the construction of a new multipurpose commercial building within a new and unique residential land subdivision development. The building’s initial use is as the Sales and Information Centre for the various stages of the land subdivision. Due to the environmentally sensitive land, the subdivision sets a new bench mark in environmental design. The structural design of the sales and information centre consisted of bored pier and strip footings to minimise impact on the natural ground levels. A structural steel sub frame and Concrete Ultrafloor suspended slab were required to provide thermal efficiency to the building. The concrete ground floor slab supported full structural steel multi-level roof framing with large cantilevering overhangs. Large glazing panels and extensive highlight windows were also incorporated.
