Slim Dusty Exhibition Centre

MPC were contracted by the Slim Dusty Foundation to provide structural engineering design and documentation services for a new exhibition centre at Kempsey NSW, valued at approximately $7m. MPC provided consulting services in conjunction with Schreiber Hamilton Architecture to design and document the buildings using a combination of structural steel framing and precast concrete wall systems. MPC also utilized residential-type waffle pod foundation systems in this commercial development to provide the required floor stiffness necessary to resist reactive clays and also of a depth required to span between bored piers in filled ground areas.
