MPC carried out the design and documentation for this club alterations and additions valued at approximately $7m. Hansen Yuncken contracted MPC to design, document and assist with construction of all structural and civil engineering elements. This project designed by EJE Architecture, included club extensions for a new function room, external gaming and smokers decks, plus full refurbishment of the entire existing club. MPC provided a design solution that utilized the existing framing structure, where appropriate, to enable the club to maintain trading and to limit the need to provide an entire new roof framing structure (as several elements of the existing building were in satisfactory condition to enable renovations to be carried out). MPC also carried out civil stormwater and pavement design works for the development which included designing for the provisions of major storm events using aboveground rainwater and detention tanks with controlled slow release systems.
