MPC were contracted to provide civil engineering design and documentation services for Development Application purposes for a beachside resort development in Blacksmiths, south of Newcastle. MPC carried out consulting services with Schreiber Hamilton Architects accounting for strict environmental controls set by Lake Macquarie City Council’s Development Control Plans.

MPC design and documented a rainwater harvesting and detention systems to satisfy all storm events up to and including the 1 in 100 year storm event. A combination of natural swales, dispersion and infiltration trenches were utilized as part of the civil engineering design to ensure that flows generated simulated the undeveloped natural state.
