NQX Transport Terminal - Emerald

MPC were engaged to provide structural and civil design and documentation for this transport facility project in Queensland. The structure consists of a large span portal frame structure using deep steel trusses for column-free space and Universal beam sections as columns. MPC carried out detailed structural engineering modeling and analysis of the structure to ensure adequacy in the high wind areas of Emerald. MPC also provided full civil stormwater management and pavement design for the project including detention design for all storms up to the 1 in 100 year event. MPC worked closely with Bolkm Pty Ltd personnel on the project to develop safe and practical design and erection solutions during construction.
