Mecure Hotel Williamtown

MPC were engaged to carryout the civil and structural design for the proposed Mercure Hotel, located adjacent to Newcastle Airport, Williamton NSW. The project required a four storey hotel designed and constructed by GWH Build.  The hotel included several function rooms, a restaurant and 93 hotel rooms. MPC provided a desgn solution that utilized structural steel columns and floor beams using an Ultrafloor slab system for the three suspended levels. Precast concrete panels were used to form both the cladding of the structure and also the lateral earthquake and wind resisting stair and lift elements.
