Enhanced Land Force (ELF)

MPC were contracted by John Holland Pty Ltd for the Department of Defence works at Singleton Army base. MPC initially provided tender services for alternative design solutions to assist John Holland in submitting their tender. MPC were subsequently engaged to carry out structural engineering re-design and re-documentation for sub-structure (foundation) works for six buildings within the proposed development. The structures include administration, accommodation and battle simulation buildings. MPC designed alternative foundation systems for this highly reactive clay site utilizing a combination of stiffened waffle rafts and piled raft slabs, in order to satisfy the project design requirements. MPC reviewed architectural superstructure works and modeled the superstructure for wind and earthquake loads to ensure that foundations were appropriately designed. MPC are providing site phase inspection and review services during the construction for John Holland Pty Ltd.
